ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Suchu Dance is pleased to announce its newest and most exciting innovation: the first annual Comedy Dance Festival. Too often the art form of dance is, in common perception, a dreary, stuffy, pretentious and melancholy thing. We aim to change that concept. There is no other art form that is so inherently funny as dance. It is child's play to dance funny. The human body is dance's medium and the human body has a great capacity to create humor. Yet why is it so difficult to make a funny dance? We say it is not and challenge choreographers to make us laugh.
